Wish List

"This is what the Lord says:
'Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom,
or the powerful boast in their power,
or the rich boast in their riches.

But those who wish to boast
should boast in this alone:
that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord
who demonstrates unfailing love
and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,
and that I delight in these things.
I, the Lord, have spoken!'" Jeremiah 9:23-24 NLT

There may be many times in which we wish that we were richer, or had more power, or were wiser. But if you think of it, if you have the Lord Jesus Christ in your life, don't you already have all those things?

If you and your Lord have a close "koinonia" (communion by intimate participation.) relationship, if you are in a living prayer life with Him, if you have a daily, meaningful Bible time with Him, if you surround yourself with friends that are healthy with their relationship with Him, then you have all those things.

So, let the world have what they have--but you keep what you have--do NOT trade! What you have in the Lord is so much more valuable than the wisdom, strength and riches of this world.

Please remember that one of the greatest truths is this--to truly know your Lord God intimately and understand without a doubt that He is your GOD!
