What! I'm Beautiful?

"But the Lord told him, 'Samuel, don't think Eliab is the one just because he's tall and handsome. He isn't the one I've chosen. People judge others by what they look like, but I judge people by what is in their hearts.'"
1 Samuel 16:7 CEV

Let this verse give you peace. Those of you who fall into the trap of thinking that you aren't pretty enough, good-looking enough, for whatever the world is saying that you need to be.

A friend said to me the other day, that in order to help people remember her name, she would associate her name with that of a beautiful actress that had the same name, even though she knew that she herself wasn't as beautiful as the actress.

When I got home, I thought, you know that is so sad. Because, not only is this friend beautiful on the outside in her own right--inside--her heart and spirit, she is just knock-out gorgeous. And isn't that what counts?

Male or female, beautiful or common, genius or not, does God care? No. What does God care about? Your spiritual heart. He created you--the good the bad and the ugly. The world cares about the surface--which can change in a heartbeat. But your heavenly Father cares about the deeper beauty--your eternity.

Accept your place in your Father's family and know that you and you alone are His and as you strive to worship, serve and love Him with your whole heart and soul, your are the most beautiful person in His sight.

He doesn't create mistakes.
