Strength Arise!

For God says, “I will break the strength of the wicked,
but I will increase the power of the godly.” Psalm 75:10

What wickedness is coming against you? Is it a relationship that is toxic? Is it a sickness that seems to be incurable? Perhaps it is injustice, abuse, addiction, or finances.

I like the promise in this psalm. God will increase the power in our lives to overcome wickedness. In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is the source of our power. The word for power is where we get the word, dynamite. Imagine the explosive power of Almighty God at work in your life.

The promise is for the godly. When we accept Jesus into our lives as our Lord and Savior, he dwells within us by his Spirit. We receive Jesus and his promises by an act of our faith in him. When we face wickedness we can overcome it by the power of the Spirit, the LIFE of Christ in us doing what we cannot accomplish in our own strength.
